The 10 Winning Habits. Winning is not a incident. It is an Habit.

To win is considered the prime motive of any activity. No one ever plays to lose assuming that the activity/game is played normally, but is there a way to be a good winner and be respected for it.
While there may not be a perfect answer for the same, there are a few helpful pointers.

  1.  A good regular winner is a good communicator. He/She doesnt take other people lightly and sets his/her priorities clearly with others.
  2.  A winner sticks around a grinds even on a bad day with hope that things will get better. A winner will not let down his guard when the results start to show he will go for the kill. a winner does not wait for preparations to be over, he knows the basics and he adds inputs to it as the work progress.
  3.  This proactive ability of the winner makes sure that the winner will make be ahead of the curve.
  4.  Winners know to keep their mouth shut when they make a mistake and still succeed.
  5. Winners know that winning is a result of the team/people who support them they acknowledge these people and cherish these bonds.
  6.  Winners are always into building there winning teams as winners understand that in the long run winning is all about developing winning teams the ones which win together or fail together.

There are ten things/aspects which a winner needs to take care of in case he/she wants to win regularly these are

  1. Innovation - new ideas and adaptations as per the situation
  2.  coordination
  3. Involvement and engagement of external partners - involving and engaging customers, suppliers, partners, vendors, shareholders etc.

  10. Leadership.

Winning is as all winners find it a lot of hard work, heart ache and a thankless job. But its a great feeling.

The singing trail of Gilbert Hill.

Hidden behind the slums and buildings lies, Gilbert hill.
It is a single rock wonder, hidden in the heart of Mumbai.
The locals they dont adore this hill.
It aint anything great for them.
Even i would felt the same,
had I not seen its claim for fame.

Majestic single rock stands tall today like it has done for 65 million years.
On its we climbed its strange stairs to reach to the top of this rock.
This rock was in Sholay says a board downstairs,
Its just a small fun fact which I thought of making you aware.

On the top stands a cute little temple.
Its surroundings are green and plesantness is ample.

We spent most of the day with company of parrots, kites and aeroplanes.
And as we returned back we discovered our route through crooked lanes.

Saw a man frying a giagantic puri,
Seeing that my reaction was -" oye O teri!"

Full of fun was our visit to Gilbert hill.
Worth a visit any time if you have spare time to chill.

So come on down to Andheri West and take a left from Bhavans
With friends on Gilbert Hill you can pray to heavens.

Size zero santa

Santa Claus was greatly disturbed. Everyone was getting fitter and younger. Chubby was out, lean mean and thin was in. What could a Santa do then.

He called everyone he knew, all elves, and even Fred his brother. Fred told him, "See Nicolas the thing is that you find it hard each year to keep your schedule as you are fat. Many kids dont get their gifts and are disappointed."

Nicolas aka Santa " But Chirtmas is about Jesus. Its not about gifts."

Fred "Yeah and Football is about kicking the ball and not about winning right! come on grow up Nicolas"

Nicolas " So what should I do"

Fred "Lets have a 30 day programme to get you fit. It would increase your popularity and make you more effective. More children will get gifts and there will be more love in the world"

Ok.

So Fred Supervised Santas work outs. Santa ran, Santa hit the gym, Santa ate oats for breakfast and the result.

Santa was thin.

So what happened next.

Well Christmas came and Kids got their gifts and a few naughty ones who stood wake up late caught a glimpse of Santa.

They were  kids who were disappointed when Santa did not touch milk and cookies.

And the love. The more kids got love (gifts) but that was not enough to have real love. Who cared for chirstmas. As Santa sat with charts and figures (yeah Santa does a nice Power point later) later he wondered if his make over did anything good.

And he realized that goodness or values cant be forced like outwardly things like fitness or image. It has to be from within. And that is when Santa decided to work on how to make himself more relevant. He was already thin. This made him look and even think like a young person. (Never ask Santa his age!)

So Santa decided to work for people through out the year. Help them out as a stranger. Be a angel to a person in need. He did it in many countries.

Eventually he no longer went around as Santa on Christmas. People still remembered him though and kids still got gifts (from their parents ) but still they credited Santa.

When some one says that Santa doesn't exist. That someone is wrong. Santa is the stranger who helps you unexpectedly many times over in life. Remember that and Merry Christmas.

Sach ka Panchanama

India has got an constitution. Thankful for rights and duties. I am thankful for it and yet I am diplomatic in expressing my freedom of speech. I guess history shows patterns of this, when educated intellect can not opinate freely,  sadly this is increasing in our country. while its great to glorify the underdog story or to critize the corrupt is it what we as Indians are supposed to be doing.   india needs leaders and by leaders i dont mean politicians but leaders who will create growth in domains they select and lead to category growth and not just individual growth which is important too . What we require is a few people who have integrity to take causes. we need people to take a stand on issues which bother them. One person may not change the system but he can and should intend to do. So even though We as a group still be the way we are, Its makes hell of a difference if Intellectuals decide to get down and dirty. I  will find my cause for my  leadership commitment. I will create a world which would be better than when I received it.

Normal or insane

(originally written on 9 Nov 2010) - By Ninad Tatke

They laugh at me, They make fun
They question my sanity.
And I simply do not care
Do sane people live normally
Or do they just live.

I dont know

Isnt it normal to dance when your mind is glad
Sing when your mind is bored
Joke when you are with your peers and folks
And listen when you are with the wise.

But "they" think I am insane
Cause I dance, I sing I joke and I listen
They laugh at me, They make fun.

They call me names.
I shouldnt change though
Never lived seriously, never lived like they want
their "normal " to live.

Comedy is easy.

By Ninad Tatke.

Some people can have God Gifted Talent of humour, all I have a talent of befriending the jesters and wise men.  What these people have in common is that they are funny.

Last year I had wondered why comedy is hard. Now I say that comedy is easy.

All I know about comedy is that it is a mind game.

Comedy is easy when it is elegant. When it comes, people should say ha, yes so true, or damn why i never thought of it. Comedians live in the world where chickens cross the roads with motives questioned or with puns and riddles or noises or faces, or good old body language. With elegance, another element that comedians have is simplicity. Third element natural comedians have is control. They know the line between funny and annoying.  Ofcourse they are observant, they do love life and they can be on your nerve at many times. But with funny power, comes serious responsibility.

So funny people basically talk on things we already know, but ofcourse there are exceptions like Raju Shirvastav who build up logical imaginative worlds which make us laugh.

But I think that the 3 things. Elegance, (which cant be added /is present right from the start), Simplicity and Control are important not just for comedy, but to live life powerfully and to live the life you love.

I am assuming at this point that this is all done with practice (hard work),  and innovation (creating value).

Hence to be good at anything (not just comedy) is all a mind game provided you get the elements right.

something new.

create value. useless objects and time tested ideas have only a thin line which divides them. if you want to seriously create value in this timeless world, then you need to consider the fact that you can, stick with the tried and tested or create new/modify the tested /to improve upon the tested. in case you are willing for the second step. please be assured that this step will lead you to have sleepless nights and lot of heart break. but there is a plus point in all of this, and that is, that you will get to understand the customer much better. you will know the ground realities, and you will also be the first to know about any product gaps. this will give you an advantage/ edge in the long run. for what is good weapon without a warrior who practices profusely on his skills every day and what good is your product if it cant speak its value.

Nagas 2nd book on shiva by Amrish.

A review by Ninad Tatke. To say that immortals of meluha was a better book or nagas is a better book would be injustice to both. I would say nagas is like a bollywood movie while meluha is not. After making such a statement, let me explain in detail. Nagas is an intriguing story a part 2 of a series in which Shiva is human, Sati is a femme force and rest of the characters are intriging. Yes, would have loved more meat in the characters but the plot is racy much like the abbas mastan movie race and has many twists and turns . The good is bad, the right is wrong and so on. Its a breath of fresh air for indian writing as sheer  imagination makes up for plot loopholes. In that sense this book is like a bollywood movie.

Outliers.

Outliers. a review by Ninad T. To begin with, let me say that this book is a brilliant piece of compilation and analysis. As for the content of the book, it is not quite clear whether a person can use it like a "Self Help" book. But I learnt these -

  • 10000 Hours are required to get Really good.
  •  Effort needs to be planned and continuous. There Should be a Visual Connect between effort and reward.
  • The roots of a person matter and so does the luck matter in a persons success.
  • one should accept ones roots and use them to their advantage.
  • Success comes from doing hard meaningful work.

Timma ka Jhumma (Timma's Friday)

Timma jab bhi juch karta tha, sab ulta hota tha. roj ki is galli galoch sun kar ek din Timma apne aap se pareshan chekha chilaya.

" Kuch kar darling. Life boring hai"

Bhagwan (aka God, Force, blah ...) " Mein kya karu, mein jo thoje deta hu, tu uski waat lagata hai."

"To mein kya karu darling."

Chal aaj tera din, jo chalta hai use ulta kar ke kar. Aaaj hai Timma ka jhumma.

Timma wakes up. Oh it was a dream or was it.

He steps out and goes for the shower. The words  jo chalta hai use ulta kar ke kar. come to his mind.

(yeah - this post is "inspired" from the opposite in Seinfeld)

(so now we move ahead in the story) - yeah righty then!

So he goes to his office and steps right into his cabin and cleans his table!

Why a organized mind leads to ... well organized work.

But then Timma took a half day and went exploring life the way he never had.

Timma always have fun. But he never had. First to be a good son, then as a responsible man. And then as a husband. Now he was a widow.

Infact he still had conversations with his wife whom (for sanity sake the writer is calling God)!

To phir Timma chala ek akela

Aur usne payi dhup, and sadak pe use lagi bhuk

usene khaye bhel puri

mirchi ne use toungue jali

paani bisleri peene jaya jab

phissal gaya Timma ka paar tab

Haas padi tab uspe ek sundari

Kya hasen thi wo. kyon thi wo wahah khadi

Nervous Timma bhi hota normally
par aaj uthe hi thi baari.

Timma ne chedi conversation ke ladhi

Aur dekh nikal aagi shyam ki shadows

baat chati rahi with no look at time or worry

Aur Timma ne finally kaha Adios.

Stop hui ek car

look enters a star

Timma ko dekh raha tha samne se  Akshay Kumar.

Timma ne ulta kiya  Kumar ko crowd se duur liya

Aur Timma ko Kumar ne thank you bola

Aur use pub party ke pass diya

Par Timma ne ulta kiya

Passes ka auction kiya
Money mila,

Timma ne phir ulta kiya
Money ko donate kiya

Timma ne phir ulta kiya
Donation pe Kumar ka naam likhka

Timma ghar aaya
to uske building ko aag lag gayi thi

Par Duniya ne ulta kiya
jaise Timma ne ulta kiya tha
Aag se building gali nahi
par sare white ants aur termites gal gaye.

Timma ka din mast tha par raat roshan ho chuki thi!

oh sea let me be

Oh sea let me be ,

As i am, slightly cute, sharp yet mute.

Oh sea let me feel the wind each time I am shit tired, to refresh me
Or when I feel loss of power,
let me be reminded that I am supposed to take in each sad moment
Like a low tide and each happy moment as high tide.
Both balance each other

Oh sea  remind me the infinite waves,
Each wave a new energy, a fresh perspective.
 A forward approach,

Oh sea  let your sands imprint my dreams and let your blessed memory remind me of my pursuit and my grit.

Please bless me for that if you deem it fit.
Oh sea please stay always in my heart, until death takes me apart.
You THE INFINITE TIMELESS NATURAL FORCE. Please guide this small creature in its SMALL LITTLE WORTHY COURSE.

silver medal part 3

sometimes you can lose and that is ok. but then what if you lose and you hurt your ego. how do you deal with that. firstly acknowledge the fact that you are hurt. understand what went wrong. imbide in you never to repeat the same mistake. and then you let the time heal you. but what do you do at that moment, well you congratulate the winner and feel happy for him/her. the hurt you have is a personal issue and you should be professional not to let it affect your work.

Pagal and google

Agra had no Taj Mahal. Red Fort did not exist. All i experienced  was a town full of markets, people and traffic. The town itself  was great though. NeXt stop was at FarIdabad where the glass bangles and glass items were nice. Had a good street food- Biryani. Tundla was oK. and then i travelled around and across 600 kms virtually through google in a day. hence pagal and google.
