silver medal 4- burn to earn, opportunity.

Saraswati the Goddess of knowledge and Laxmi the Goddess of wealth will both have to agree that they depend upon sandhi the opportunity.

Now it may be true that one creates his/her own luck but opportunity is indeed a funny phenomenom. It seems close to the extent and when it presents itself you may find yourself harshly unprepared.

What does one do when does not even get a silver medal, they are remembered as once have been. not to mention they are judged by the truth viewed in an unfair manner. There are people who acquire skills slowly and exhibit them gradually. If you do find yourself in such a situation remember that everyone cant be the choosen one. Some people have to burn more to earn the respect.

So what exactly is the burning.

Its not just the desire to get it but a madness to achieve it. Burning is the desire to have it and to work repeatedly until one has it.

It may been ironical but the most "out of the routine" work happens when a person has set a work ethic or "routine" to himself. It does not matter whether this is an time intensive or not but what matters is the consistent amount of time one puts in his/her project.

So even if time and tide waits for no man as opportunity goes past you, you can and you must prepare yourself regularly and steadily that the next time something comes up, you are prepared and ready and there is nothing which can stop you now.

silver medal part 3

sometimes you can lose and that is ok. but then what if you lose and you hurt your ego. how do you deal with that. firstly acknowledge the fact that you are hurt. understand what went wrong. imbide in you never to repeat the same mistake. and then you let the time heal you. but what do you do at that moment, well you congratulate the winner and feel happy for him/her. the hurt you have is a personal issue and you should be professional not to let it affect your work.

Silver Medal part 2

So sometimes you give your best and still you end up on the losing side. May be now is the time to adapt, to let go of certain techniques and look for new one's. In the larger scheme of things what you are going through is a small aspect.

What you need to do though is to take a new guard. Every person goes through a phase when all he can do is hold on and wait.

Love the game though. Love will take you through this in ways that logic or disappointment wont. Infact disappointment is the last thing that you should think about. Because when you end up with the silver medal you have so much to learn from the winner.

Look at the gold winning person, see what they did, and try getting their deeds and mix them with your strengths. Play the game again. Try again for gold.

The silver medal.

No one wins the silver medal. You play to win and you play to win gold. When you win a silver, its a round or a match well played, they loved watching you factor - but at the end of the day, you might have lost valiantly but you have still lost.

But in life you end up on the losing side and its the grace with which you take this pitch of salt which forms the mark of the true champion.  The trick here is to learn from the game, accept defeat gracefully and prepare well for that next game.

Jerry Seinfeld once said "The Olympics is really my favorite sporting event. Although, I think I have a problem with that silver medal. Because when you think about it,you win the gold - you feel good, you win the bronze - you think, "Well, at least I got something". But when you win that silver it's like, "Congratulations, you *almost* won. Of all the losers *you* came in first of that group. You're the number one *loser*. No one lost ahead of you!"
