Innings break: The target for Karnataka is 338, they will have to put up a better batting performance to get anywhere near the target, it is going to be good chase, stay tuned. The highlight of the innings has been Kulkarni, who arrived as a night watchman did himself and Mumbai proud, a wonderful knock under pressure, when Mumbai were reeling at 51 for 5 in the second innings. Iqbal Abdulla to Pandey, OUT, Abdulla strikes and a gets the big wicket of Pandey, tossed up outside the off stump, the ball spins and Pandey who is forward with an angled bat, gets the edge to Jaffer at first slip. What a knock we have witnessed, well done Pandey, he raises his bat to the crowd as he walks back to the pavilion.

Uthappa: "We were confident in the morning with Pandey and Satish at the crease, we thought we could make it, but we lost wickets and could not get across the line."

Mumbai win by 6 runs and they lift the title for the 39th time, what an exciting finish we have had. Celebrations from the Mumbai team, the players jump, hug and dance. Karnataka team are devastated, the crowd are stunned and it has been a great match. They clap the champions into the pavilion, well done. A great pitch and a wonderful match. Some wonderful performances from Agarkar, Salvi, Kulkarni, Mithun and Vinay Kumar with the ball and an outstanding performance with the bat by Manish Pandey and not to forget Satish and Samant and Nayar. A Final to remember for a long time.
