Missal is an dish in Maharashtrian dish made with various mixes and a hot gravy. Usually served with pav (or bread) it is a delicious affair for anyone who loves spicy food.
Maharashtra has various types of missal . Pune missalhas a variety which is essentially poha and mild gravy. Kolhapur missal is pulses, sev and a really hot gravy. Plus there are 3 to 4 more variety of missals.
Thane has been popular over the years for its missal in Mumbai, Mamledar Kachori and Amantran Restaurant (same place - different ambiance) has been a foodies paradise over the years.
However in the last two years a new place has emerged in Thane. Its named Suruchi and is located next to Malhar talkies close to Eternity Mall, near teen hath naka.
The quality of this missal is definitely good but the best part is the taste. This place has around 4 to 6 versons of Missals available but I would recommend Kolhapur variety of it. (its spicy).
The ambiance is not much but its a good place for a hearty breakfast or an evening snack.
You know a good taste when it lingers on in your mind hours after you had your meal.
